Hey friends—
As anyone with small children will tell you, this is the Autumn of Pestilence.
I’m writing this on the first day I’ve felt reasonably well after almost two weeks of a hellacious (though apparently non-COVID) cough… which itself came after two weeks of a head cold, which followed an earlier lingering chest cold. I’m not somebody who gets sick a lot, so being unwell and exhausted for nearly six weeks has been a new experience for me.
It has also, as is to be expected, tanked my productivity. I’m currently behind on every task to which I’m committed, and this newsletter is no exception.
I expect to be able to start posting and recording again more frequently after the holidays, but in the meantime, I apologize for the gap in correspondence. (If you’re relatively new to the newsletter — thousands of you are — I’ll just note that there’s a large archive to explore.)
Also, paying supporters will please note that I’ve paused payments for this newsletter for the next month while I get back up to speed.
Thanks for your understanding, and best wishes for a joyful (and healthy) holiday season.
Yours,
Alex
